Confidex is a fast growing and internationally operating Finnish company specialized in RFID tag technology. In August 2006 we established our production facilities in China. Since then, we have become a leading supplier of RFID tags, tickets and labels.

Our mission is to be industry's leading provider of RFID tag solutions to make supply chains, transactions and authentication of goods and people  more efficient and secure. This improvement enhances the quality of life and environment.

With a decade of experience in RFID, we offer unparalleled RFID ticket and tag manufacturing and product design. Confidex designs special RFID tags for applications for which standard RFID labels are not suitable. Aerospace and asset tracking applications are typical segments where the system requirements and quality for the tags are set high, and performance cannot be compromised.

Building global presence and market leadership to EPC tag supply chain, Confidex brings expertise and experience in manufacturing HF-and UHF tags.

Confidex is also experienced in optimizing the communication between tags and readers. This optimization includes application analysis, such as reader and antenna configuration, application specific tag design and field tests.

Chairman of the Board
Mr. Reijo Mäihäniemi
is President and CEO of Efore Oyj, a publicly listed power products company. Before joining Efore,  Mäihäniemi worked as Managing Director of Olivetti Finland and Fiskars Power Systems. During his career he has also had top executive positions at Tellabs, Teleste and Nokia Telecommunications, building global businesses in over 100 countries. Mäihäniemi lives in Helsinki, Finland.

Directors
Mr. Christer Forsström
has been building international businesses, both by organic growth and acquisitions. He has a long track record in branding, brand positioning and market segmentation and he has been restructuring larger companies with a view to lower overall costs of operations and verification of the business concept. A major part of Forsström's business career was spent at Electrolux Group where he served as CEO and Global EVP for more than 15 years. After Electrolux, Forsström was Managing Director of the biggest private TV station in Scandinavia, TV 4 in Sweden. Forsström has been a business consultant and a member of several boards since 1999. He lives in Stockholm, Sweden.

Mr. Linwood Lacy  has an impressive career in distribution that spans nearly 25 years. From 1985 to 1996 he was CEO of Ingram Micro and its predecessor company, Micro D Inc. He also served as President and then CEO of Ingram Industries from 1993 to 1996. Lacy was President and CEO of Micro Warehouse (1996 -1997) and Chairman of 4SURE.com (1998-2001), which was acquired by Office Depot in 2001.  Prior to Micro D, Lacy held executive positions with Best Products and Zale Corporation's Catalogue Showroom Division. Lacy, who spearheaded Ingram Micro's skyrocketing growth from $100 million to $12 billion in revenues as chief executive of the company, was inducted into the CRN Computer Museum Industry Hall of Fame in 1997. He now spends his time as a private investor and serves on several boards including Ingram Industries, NETGEAR and Global MailExpress (for which he is Chairman) and lives in Richmond, Virginia.

Mr. Timo Lindström is the Co-founder and CEO of Confidex Ltd. He has 23 years executive experience in wireless technologies and system integration companies in Finland and in Germany. He has been working in the RFID industry since 1997 and before foundation of Confidex Ltd. he headed UPM Rafsec from start-up venture to become the globally number one RFID inlay vendor. He lives in Tampere, Finland.

Mr. Robert Mullins is a partner in Logispring, a venture capital fund focused on investing in companies that improve global supply chains, and focuses on the firm's European portfolio. He currently sits on the boards of portfolio companies Confidex and Alpheon, while also monitoring the firm's investment in Exaprotect. Prior to Logispring, Mullins founded Enersid Association with the objective of promoting renewable energy micro-solutions for isolated rural communities in developing countries. Before that he was part of Salomon Smith Barney's (now Citigroup) investment banking division in London, UK and Madrid, Spain.  While at Salomon Robert executed M&A, debt and equity financing transactions focused on pan-European Telecoms, Technology and Energy sectors. Mullins holds a MSc. with distinction in Operational Research from the London School of Economics and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH with a B.A. in Engineering Sciences and a minor in Mathematics. He lives in Geneva, Switzerland.

Mr. Ari Siponmaa joined Aura Capital year 2000 and is currently serving as Managing Partner. Previously, Mr. siponmaa held senior positions with top management consultancies such as AT Kearney, Gemini Consulting and Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in FInland and abroad, with particular emphaiss on financial industry, strategy and mergers, and acquisitions. He has held and currently holds several board memberships in internationalising growth companies. Siponmaa holds M.Sc. in Electrical engineering from Helsinki University of Technology.

Mr. Kaj Westerberg is the Managing Partner of Essa Invest and the CEO of K.J.Westerberg, one of the leading accounting service groups in Finland. Mr. Westerberg acts as a seed investor in start-up companies and serves in several boards as Director and lives in Tampere, Finland.
